MS Wissenschaft 2013 – All Generations in One Boat

The 2013 floating exhibition on the MS Wissenschaft was dedicated to the topic of this Year of Science, Demographic Opportunity. From May to September the MS Wissenschaft sailed through 40 cities in Germany and Austria. Every year, the floating Science Center of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research offers young people under 12 and families in particular fascinating insights into the state of research and science, focusing each year on a different topic. The interactive on-board exhibition All Generations in One Boat was very much focused on the issue of demographic change. The largely interactive exhibits gave visitors a lot more than just hard facts about demographic transformation. Participative media activities allowed visitors to actively explore the topic using all of their senses. The varied colour scheme and symbol concept made the exhibition attractive and accessible and guided the visitors through the individual exhibition sections.
