Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss Special exhibition for children: “Nimm Platz!”

NIMM PLATZ! [TAKE A SEAT!] is conceived as an integrative gesture of welcome, providing space, allowing space, “locating” someone socially in familiar circles or new situations. The common thread of the special exhibition for children and families in the Humboldt Forum is formed by exhibits on which one can “take a seat”, seating furniture in the broadest sense, or ones that call for certain actions and assign a place in society. Accessible, hands-on exhibits for learning, discovering and playing were developed that can be used by everyone. The exhibition architecture of light wood, decorated with large-format illustrations inspired by children’s drawings, has a temporary feel, with the air of a large adventure playground.
The exhibition was created under the curatorial direction of Lisa Noggler-Gürtler and Maria Prantl.
